In 2009 it is: “I want my MTV and MY bailout”
Seriously, don’t you just want to turn the television off, put the newspaper down, click off the Internet and just lose yourself in a Pat Benatar video from 1983?
Sting and the Police were singing back in the 80’s about “Too much information running through my brain, too much information driving me insane”
That was the 1980’s! Before Internet, the cable TV explosion, cell phones, email, texting, web cameras and talk show hosts who blur the line between entertainment and journalism and every Tom, Dick and Harry..and Rachel..who find it necessary to have an opinion on EVERYTHING known to man.
No wonder everyone is so stressed out.
Do yourself a favor, put the cell phone away for 4 hours, turn off all media, brew up a cup of tea and lose yourself in a good book. Reality will be there when you return.
